ECUTEK - ENGINE COOLANT TEMP PROTECTION UPDATE

£50.00

We are pleased to offer the first in a series of protection routines for cars we have already remapped on Ecutek or as an option to add into new calibrations we are carrying out for customers.

Revving an engine from cold should always be avoided due to the damage it can cause so we have created a custom table within Ecutek RaceRom which using the coolant temperature taken direct from the sensor on the side of the head we are able to limit the maximum revs the engine can run at with a soft limiter until the temperatures have increased sufficiently.

We have also included an over temperature protection feature that puts a soft 4000rpm limiter on over 105'C the complete cut at 120'C hopefully saving the engine if you haven't noticed and thought about stopping when you find you are hitting a limiter and dash has lit up like a Christmas tree!

Also available will be an oil pressure measuring and protection system and oil level protection system for the FN2 and R18's with the level sensors already installed in the sumps coming soon.

Something new for Ecutek mapped cars I've been working on. Rev limiter based on coolant temperature offering a nice safety protection feature. Limiter is reduced and slowly rises as the temperature increases to stop over revving a cold "performance" motor then in the case of an over-temperature situation due to coolant leak, pump failure etc as soon as alarm temperature is reached throttle closes and car slows down until temperatures drop but still allows control for safely maneuvering to a safe stop. Will be offering this protection feature as an update available on the webshop to existing vehicles we have remapped very soon. 👍 www.tpwengineering.com #tpwengineering #toptuna #hondacivictyper #ctro_uk #ecutek #k20z4 @ecutek_technologies
